The Armour

by Ben Ellis

The Armour received its world première at The Langham, London in 2015.

Ben Ellis was the winner of The Langham 1865 Writer-in-Residence Award, launched to mark the 150th anniversary of Europe’s first grand hotel. This was Defibrillator’s second collaboration with the hotel following the success of Tennessee Williams’ The Hotel Plays. Exploring the themes of power, luxury, empire and fragility, the play was performed in three specially curated, intimate spaces within the hotel.
